Today we along with Pranab and his family were hopping three puja mandaps in Hyderabad. We had a great day out. Although it was xoptomi and falls on Sunday, but the crowd was not so huge which we didn't expect. I this time had gone to Puja after several years, don't remember when I went last.

@Tankbund |
First, went to Tankbund puja mandap organized by Vivekananda math Bengali committee. Saw a thin crowd here enjoying misti dahi and bengali sweets. Aarti (evening prayer) followed immediately after 6PM, where we saw four drum players most probably from Kolkata.
Missing the grandeur and quaint of those Guwahati or Kolkata pujas.

@Secunderabad |
Then we started heading towards our next mandap at Secunderabad. It was a huge area housing all the stalls, seemed to be a fair.
What I noticed, the whole puja area is a makeshift of a very big commercial market having stalls of cars (TATA, Hyundai, GM, Honda), Bengali sweets, electronics goods and what not. The price is sky high for all the items. We had tiny rosgolla, each of Rs 15/ which is not at all worth :(

@Chanda Nagar |
Finally went to a small mandap at Chanda nagar. But the style is different one as we saw only one idol of Vaishno Devi.
